Electra Partners Strengthens Investment Team

News

POSTED 30 September 2013

Electra Partners today announces the appointment of Owen Wilson as Investment Director.

Owen brings with him 13 years of private equity experience, most recently at Palamon Capital Partners where he was involved in the QualitySolicitors, Eneas Energy and SAV Credit transactions and prior to that at Candover, where he was involved in the acquisitions of Stork and Hilding Anders.

Owen will work alongside Chief Investment Partner, Alex Fortescue and the existing 16-strong investment team, in investing Electra Partners' substantial investment capacity of over £450 million, after taking account of new investments and realisations since 31 March 2013.

In addition to Owen's appointment, Electra Partners has also recently announced two promotions; the appointment of Alex Cooper-Evans to the new role of Head of Investor Relations and Sarah Williams to Investment Director.

Electra Partners' flexible investment approach allows it to invest broadly across the private equity market with a particular focus in three areas: buyouts & growth capital, secondaries and debt. In 2013, Electra Partners has announced six new investments and the realisations of esure and Allflex, which generated 3x and 15x returns on original cost respectively.

As at 31 March 2013, Electra Partners had gross assets under management of over £1.6 billion.
