Epiris announces promotions

Epiris today announces several promotions across its investor relations and investment teams: Kathryn Pothier has been promoted to Partner, Alex Wilby to Investment Partner, Thayne Forbes and Zoe Lai to Investment Director, Pablo Espinoza to Investment Manager and Scott Forbes to Investment Associate.

Bill Priestley, Managing Partner at Epiris, said:

“This is a very exciting set of promotions that follows a period of exceptional progress for Epiris. Over the past two years we have invested more than £400 million in six new platform investments – all of them in the crosshairs of our Value + Transform strategy – and raised over £1 billion for Epiris Fund III which closed at its hard cap in February this year. Every single member of our team has been an important part of that progress, but Kathryn has been instrumental in the fund-raising, and Alex, Thayne, Zoe, Pablo and Scott have shown themselves to be more than ready for promotion on the investment side of the business. We are all thrilled to recognise this success.”

Kathryn joined Epiris in January 2023 as Investor Relations Partner to lead the firm’s investor relations and fund-raising activities. Kathryn was previously head of investor relations at Trive Capital in Dallas, Texas.

Alex joined Epiris as an Investment Manager in 2019 and was promoted to Investment Director in 2021. He has worked on Epiris’ investments in ISS, Sharps, The Big Table and The Club Company and sits on the board of all four companies.

Thayne and Zoe both joined Epiris’ Associate Programme in 2020. Since then, Thayne has worked on several Epiris investments including Pure Cremation (where he sits on the board), Delinian, ISS, Stuart Turner and Nucleus, whilst Zoe has been involved in GSF, LoneStar, Stuart Turner (where she sits on the board), The Big Table, Bonhams and Saunderson House.

Pablo joined Epiris as part of its inaugural Analyst programme in 2019, having graduated from the University of Oxford with degrees in Physics and in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics. He has worked on Epiris’ investments in LoneStar, Sepura, Sharps, The Big Table and Diamorph.

Scott joined Epiris as part of the 2021 Analyst intake having graduated from University College, London, with a degree in Mathematics. He has been involved in investments including LoneStar and ISS.
