Electra Partners has been announced as the winner of the 'France and Benelux Deal of the Year' award at the Private Equity Awards 2014. The award was in recognition of the sale of Allflex in July 2013.
Now in their thirteenth year, the Private Equity Awards, hosted by Real Deals, are some of the oldest and most respected accolades bestowed on the private equity industry.
Allflex was sold in July 2013 for US$1.35 billion. Electra Partners major client, Electra Private Equity, received gross proceeds of US$399 million from the sale, which together with earlier refinancings between 2003 and 2007 represented a gross return of 15x original cost over the 15 year holding period; an IRR of 28%.
