Epiris portfolio company, TGI Fridays, the American-styled restaurant chain, has topped The Sunday Times "Best Big Companies to Work For" list.

The Sunday Times "Best Companies to Work For" is an annual ranking of the best of the UK's happy and motivated workforces. Now in their fifteenth year the lists are widely acknowledged as the most extensive research into employee engagement carried out in the UK.

Epiris acquired the UK franchise of TGI Fridays in December 2014, with Electra Private Equity investing £99 million of equity in the deal. TGI Fridays is an authentic American casual restaurant chain offering a fun and lively dining experience for both young adults and families alike. The group has 66 UK restaurants, operating from a range of locations, including city centres, shopping centres and leisure parks.

Bill Priestley, Partner at Epiris, said:

"We are delighted that TGI Fridays has topped The Sunday Times' list. One of the main attractions for us when originally looking at the business was its passionate and engaging team. We would like to congratulate Karen Forrester and all the TGI Fridays' family on this thoroughly deserved accolade."

Epiris refers to Epiris LLP acting on behalf of its client Electra Private Equity PLC.
